Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the fresh peaches and place them in a greased baking dish.
Batter Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder, milk, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Pour the batter over the peaches, making sure it spreads evenly.
  3. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the top of the mixture.
  4. Sprinkle generously with ground cinnamon.
Baking
  1. Place in the oven to bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Serve warm, optionally pairing it with a scoop of ice cream.
